  1. There are no prices listed on our website because we do not sell directly to the public.  The retail stores set the actual selling prices of our merchandise.

  1. There are Oak Designs dealers throughout New England, New York and New Jersey and we are expanding our distribution west and south.

  1. No, Oak Designs does not sell directly to the public.  We only sell to retail stores.

  1. You are always welcome to try and convince your local retailer to carry our products, but there are often many reasons why they would be unable to.  If your favorite retailer would like to inquire about carrying our furniture, they can contact sales@oakdesigns.com.

  1. No, Oak Designs does not make cribs or baby furniture.

  1. Contact sales@oakdesigns.com.

  1. Wait a few days; sometimes we don’t have time to respond to e-mails right away.  Please allow at least three days for a response (5 if over the weekend).  If you still haven’t heard from us, please try again, and make sure you have filled out the proper e-mail address.  We often receive forms with an invalid e-mail address or none at all.  In that case, there is no way for us to respond to you.

  1. No, since we do not sell directly to the public, we do not have a catalog send out.  Our catalog is provided only to retail stores.

  1. Our beds are made of solid hardwood. Our Casegoods are made from hardwood plywood with solid trim.  The Hampton Collection also features a solid wood top.

  1. For various reasons, not all stores carry our entire line.  It may sometimes be possible to locate another dealer, but not usually.  For example, outside of New England, you will usually only find our youth bedroom furniture; no office or entertainment.  However, in Massachusetts for instance, there may be another dealer within an hour’s drive who might carry the item, which the closer store does not.

  1. If the piece you are trying to match is from Oak Designs, it may be possible.  However, environment will change the color of the finish over time, and it is unlikely to be an exact match to your existing piece.  If it is subjected to the same conditions, then in some time it may become closer in color.  If your Oak Designs piece is much older, it may be in a finish that has been discontinued and we would be unable to match it.  If the existing piece is not from Oak Designs, we are unable to provide a match.

  1. It is possible that we have more pictures not suited for the website for one reason or another.  There are also larger versions of most of the images presented.  If you need one of these, or would like to know if there is one, please specify in the comments portion of the contact form which pieces you would like to see and we will try to accommodate your request.

  1. Listed with all the TV cabinets and Entertainment centers are the dimensions for the television clearance.  You should remember however, that the size of your television (i.e. 32”) is the size of the screen diagonally, not the actual dimensions of the TV.  So be sure to measure your television!

  1. PROPER CARE FOR YOUR OAK DESIGNS FURNITURE - To help protect against wear, spots and spills, and to maintain the beauty of the finish, dust regularly using a quality furniture care product. Always rub in the direction of the grain with a soft, lint-free cloth. To clean and protect high luster lacquer finishes, use a quality aerosol furniture polish. Furniture should not be placed in direct sunlight, in front of heat outlets or open windows. Carelessness with hot dishes, alcohol and moisture will harm the finish. Remove spills immediately, using a blotting, rather than a wiping motion. Do not place rubber or plastic-based articles directly on wood surfaces, they can cause moisture to become trapped under them and damage the finish.

  1. Absolutely!  All of Oak Designs’ beds are safety certified.  All bunk beds come with one long safety rail and one shorter guardrail.  The ladder is angled to keep the child’s balance forward while climbing up and down.

  1. No, Contemporary pieces are not available in white.

  1. Due to variations in monitor quality and settings, the colors you see on your screen may not be represented accurately.  Your Oak Designs dealer will have sample chips for you to see in person.

  1. Your personal information is safe!  We do not sell it or use it for anything other than demographic tracking.
